Stories of Resilience.

From the Heart of New Mexico.

Through the Fire is a new video project I’m proud to be producing in 2026 that will highlight stories of hope, healing and transformation in New Mexico. Guided by narrator Sara Tapia-Tomer, this documentary series will dig deep into what it's like going "through the fire" of life's challenges - with the goal of helping others do the same. Burned: A Story of Resilience

How do you bring satisfaction to a mishap? In April 2022, Northern New Mexico was hit by the Calf Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire, which became the largest fire in the history of New Mexico. “Burned” tells the human story of how this extreme weather event affected Northern New Mexico communities, and how local officials and families are coming together to rebuild and recover.

As a native of Northern New Mexico myself, I was honored to tell these stories and lead production for this video, including identifying, preparing and interviewing the subjects, organizing the shoots, and assisting with editing.

This short film was directed by Jose Valdez in partnership with Adam Francis Raby of PegaWhale Storytellers.

Water Can’t Wait

Water is life in New Mexico – but what are we doing to protect it? As part of my consulting work for the Water Foundation, I co-led the creation of a multi-year public education campaign called Water Can’t Wait to elevate water issues in the State of New Mexico. The campaign priortizized storytelling and community voices from all corners of New Mexico who came together with one voice to say “Water Can’t Wait.” I produced six videos for the campaign, and was responsible for identifying, preparing and interviewing the subjects, organizing the shoots, assisting with editing, and dissemminating the stories and videos to New Mexico media. The videos were shot and directed by Kaela Waldstein in partnership with Alex Hanna of Invisible City Designs and Lynn Pitcher-Komer of PK Public Relations. In 2025, “Water Can’t Wait” was awarded the highest honor of “Gold” in the video category by the New Mexico Public Relations Society of New Mexico (NM PRSA).

The Udall Update

During my time as press secretary for former Senator Tom Udall (D-NM), I produced a 30-minute episode that aired on PBS/public media stations throughout the state. Featured in this episode are two "Sensible Solutions" Sen. Udall helped pass in Congress on behalf of New Mexicans, including the Katie Sepich Enhanced DNA Collection, which is now law thanks to the tireless efforts of Jayann Sepich from Carlsbad. Another segment features Albuquerque residents MSgt Jessey Baca and his wife Maria who worked with Sen. Udall to pass the Open Burn Pits Registry Act and help military families exposed to toxic air pollution in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety

Drunk driving remains a serious public health and safety issue. But what if we could use technology to invent a world without drunk driving? That’s the mission of the Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) Program: a collaborative research effort to invent, test, and deploy new alcohol detection technologies for widespread use in commercial vehicles of the future.

For the past several years, I have served as Communications Director for the DADSS Program on behalf of my client the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety (ACTS), which represents the world’s leading automakers. During this time, I have produced several videos that give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the research is developing and how the technology will work.

Entertainment Social Impact

During my time at the social impact consulting firm ProSocial in Los Angeles, I helped guide several grassroots campaigns for a variety of entertainment projects, including:

Combining my experience in public affairs and a passion for social justice entertainment, I have specialized in building impact campaigns for films, documentaries and TV shows. In this role, I have served as a liaison between entertainment professionals and non-profit/grassroots organizations looking to use the power of entertainment to affect social change.

Services have included building campaigns from scratch and executing them from the pre-premiere phase, while mobilizing thousands of grassroots activists to champion a piece of art. Activities have included organizing special screenings, Q&As, influencer events, policy discussions, premieres, etc.

Campaign: Mobilized the LGBTQ community in support of the theatrical release of The Miseducation of Cameron Post, a Sundance-award winning film by Director Desiree Akhavan that touches on the subject of conversion therapy.

Campaign: Mobilized global health organizations, tech companies, philanthropists, non-governmental organizations and others to support the campaign for Minutes to Die. Directed by James Reid, the documentary tells the story of snakebite envenoming, a public health crisis that kills more people in one month than the entire Ebola crisis did in two years. Upon release, the World Health Organization (WHO) was persuaded to add snakebite envenoming back to its priority list of Neglected Tropical Diseases, triggering more support from the global health community.

Campaign: Mobilized activists, thought leaders and organizations involved in autism awareness to support the premier of ABC’s The Good Doctor. During the fall of 2017, the show became the highest rated program on network television.

Campaign: Mobilized veterans service organizations to support the theatrical release of Last Flag Flying, a film directed by Richard Linklater and starring Bryan Cranston, Laurence Fishburne, and Steve Carell.

Campaign: Mobilized activists, thought leaders and organizations involved in autism awareness to support the Netflix premier of Atypical Season 1.
